Amalia Studios and Apartments
are some 2,000 meters West of  Plakias on a slope above the south coast of Crete.
The facility includes 6 studios for up to 3 persons and a holiday flat with two separate bedrooms for up to 5 persons. All dwelling-units have air conditioning and satellite color TV sets.
On the ground floor of one of the buildings there is a common kitchen and dining-room in the style of a taverna where guests can cater themselves.

Plakias
is an old fishing-village on the south coast of the district of Rethymnon.
It is known to individual tourists since some years, but still rather untouched by mass tourism.
Around the port and further on eastward along the sandy beach which lines the bay, some smaller hotels and apartment facilities row up.

Down by the beach road there are several restaurants and tavernas, kafenions, small supermarkets and some other shops.
The town of Rethymnon on the north coast is 42 kms away.
